Welcome to Finca de Sanson!
This is the home of Lockie and Emotional Horsemanship. The farm built for founding herd member Sani, and now joined by Caleb, Sureño and baby Oki.
We are offering small group retreats here on our farm. These are four day immersive experiences where you get a taste for local Spanish Village life, and learning with Lockie and his horses.
This is the perfect way for students of Emotional Horsemanship to have the fully in-depth, enriched experience with horses, and explore the best that Emotional Horsemanship can offer you. All in a quiet rural corner of Spain with spectacular weather.

These four day immersive retreats accommodate you comfortably in our local village, only 2 minutes drive away, and allowing you to spend the entire day on Finca de Sanson. Theory and practical tuition is offered as well as a healthy home cooked meal each day. We will insist on a Siesta each day to enable you to fully experience this life style, and the farm offers a lot of peace for you to do so.
Finca de Sanson is located in central Galicia, beautiful North-Western Spain. Famous for its lush green fields, long Spring, warm Summer, long Autumns, and short but wet winters, Galicia is one of Spain's best kept secrets.
You are invited to come and learn about Emotional Horsemanship, and species appropriate horse keeping in an intimate, safe and supportive environment. Retreats will include groundwork, and ridden lessons if the horses consent to it.
2024 Retreats are filled and are are excited to deliver these to the first round of horse people coming to Spain to visit us.
2025 applications are open!
Retreats will be conducted for a maximum 3 -4 people at one time, will be offered on a limited basis in the early summer, late summer, and autumn, annually.
PRE-REQUISITES

Must Have
1. Studied the Emotional Horsemanship Foundation Online Course
2. Worked with Lockie on a Coaching Call, Clinic, Video Review or Live Lesson (Minimum x 1 booking)
3. Health Insurance covering you in Spain for equestrian activities
4. 18 years old or over, or attending with a parent or guardian

Good to Have (But not essential)
1. Prior experience with horses
2. A horse of your own back at home
3. Willingness to try something new
4. A friend, family member or partner to join you
